Bijou Studio is small but perfect. Its unique location is a world of its own. It sits on the rocks looking out on to the Ionian Sea on the south side of Kaminaki beach.
The sound of the sea and of churning pebbles on the beach bellow, the sea breeze air, the front row view of a rising sun make Bijou the perfect honeymoon grotto, a writer’s source of inspiration, a holidaymaker’s dream. A natural stone paved terrace furnished with a pair of sun loungers and a dining table for meals under the stars add to an intimate dreamy atmosphere.
Bijou is reached by a few stone steps that lead down to the beach and is only moments away from Kaminaki beach and village tavernas. Its proximity to the beach makes it possible to hire a boat rather than a car during your stay turning even food shopping into a holiday adventure.
The recently renovated interior with beautifully kept wooden surfaces give Bijou the feeling of a luxury boat cabin. Double glazed windows and thick stone walls, however, create a cozy and dry home environment.
A delicious kitchenette, a comfy double bed and a small sitting and dining area aesthetically fill the room. Even the shower room looks out to sea with an equally breathtaking effect.
Modern bamboo furniture provides a comfortable lounge and eating area in the center of the room.
Bijou is a single room villa which features a double bed and curtain closed cupboard space.

Bijou is not suitable for wheelchair users or young children. In order to maintain the character of this century old building no railings are in place along the outdoor terrace area.

Kaminaki has two tavernas but no convenience shops or supermarkets.
The local supermarket (approximately 3km from kaminaki) is the closest option.
It offers free pick up and return to your villa to do your shopping and accepts online shopping orders with free delivery to your villa between 09:00 am and 10:30 am

Kaminaki is an idyllic hidden gem of a bay on Corfu’s mostly unspoilt north-eastern coast and Bijoux is the perfect place from which to enjoy it. It quite literally has “the best seat in the house” as it is positioned in one corner of the little horseshoe and is possibly the most beautiful terrace I have ever had the pleasure of spending time on. The studio itself is, as its name suggests, small, but it has nevertheless been so beautifully designed inside that it never feels anything other than luxurious and, to be honest, the terrace is where you want to be; reading a book, laying on one of the gorgeous sun loungers or lunching under the awning, drinking cold, white Greek wine from the fridge whilst enjoying freshly made aubergine salad and sheep’s cheese from Aphrodite’s supermarket just up the (very steep) road. A week spent here is a week well spent, reading books, gazing out over the turquoise water’s and trekking the long 100 yards to Spiro’s taverna at the other end of the bay. Christina (who’s family have owned the beautiful, yellow beach-side houses for generations, will go out of her way to make you comfortable, but she has very little to do as everything you could possibly want is right there before you.
My third visit to Kaminaki beach and my first stay with Kaminaki Villas. Bijou Studio did not disappoint. Was the most delightful and perfect space for a solo female holidaymaker. Private, safe, secure and secluded but with access to beach and taverna on the doorstep. The welcome pack was very generous and the additional provision of a beach towel a welcome luxury. Christina (the owner) and her family were extremely welcoming and it was very reassuring to know that they were right there if I had any problems.
Bijou is a very special place and has the most spectacular views over the bay. We have visited many times over the years and always enjoy every moment of our stay. It is always like going back to se family and always such a pleasure to see Christina, Nicole and Spiros. We have already booked for next year and cannot wait!
