This large villa is in great elevated position from the beach with fantastic views.
our hosts could not have been for helpful. I think this is one of the best areas on Corfu for views/Beaches/Food and no aircraft.
The large infinity pool was clean ,very relaxing to over look the sea views.
The local beach taverns (sort beach side walk to Kaminaki beach next door are the best) serve quality good priced food if you don’t fancy cooking.
The small beach next door also has Kaminaki boat hire. A must for a great day. Easy to find your own beach up towards Kassiopi .
Beach below has great swimming/water sports/fishing.
We stayed in Christina Villa few years ago. Again great large villa. Larger pool. a bit further from the beach and sea view not quite as good but will be going back to either of them soon.
We travelled with our three children aged 14, 12 and 9 and were also joined for a week (of the fortnight we stayed) by my sister-in-law. This was our first trip to Corfu and we all absolutely loved it. The villa was a great layout for us and was excellent quality and spotlessly clean. Christina and her father were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble (thank you!) – we had trouble working the aircon initially and asked for an extra pool umbrella and all was sorted quickly. We arranged delivery from a local supermarket and this was packed away for us before we arrived.
What sets the villa apart however is the location. Simply stunning sea views, perfect for lazing around the pool in the wall to wall sunshine or playing cards on the terrace and watching the boats, water sports and one spectacular thunder storm!
When we managed to drag ourselves away from the pool, the beach was a (steep – tricky in flip flops!) few minutes away. The children enjoyed snorkelling and the eldest two tried some of the watersports on offer. Our favourite taverna was Yianni’s which was good, fresh, unpretentious and reasonably priced. We particularly enjoyed watching the fishing boat come in with the day’s catch and watching the family prepare the evening meal. Taverna Agni was also a highlight and we all enjoyed the experience of being collected by water taxi from the beach jetty.
Our favourite couple of days were spent exploring by boat which we hired at Kaminaki beach. We all loved swimming off the boat, finding secluded beaches and new tavernas to try. We ventured up to Kassiopi (wishing that we’d hired a larger boat as it was choppy!) which was well worth a visit. We did hire a car for the two weeks but in all honesty barely used it. In retrospect we would have got a taxi from the airport and hired a boat for longer.
There are honestly no real negatives. We knew that mozzies could be quite fierce so came armed with sprays and made sure that we used plug ins. I was the only one to get bitten (always the case!) but strangely mozzie bites in Corfu don’t itch and don’t swell! The wasps can come out in force when eating outside, but we copied the tavernas and burnt coffee; the smoke keeps them away instantly.
We were really sad to leave and will definitely be back.
