Corfu is a great place to visit, not only in the summer months but also at the beginning of the season. This is the time when the weather is good enough to allow you to explore and see what the island really has to offer.
If you are travelling alone or with friends and family, Corfu has many places for you to enjoy a relaxing swim, eat traditional food and wander in historical places. You have to see Corfu Town, where the old quaint Venetian streets will impress you. This is the place to go shopping, walk in the park and get a coffee at the famous Liston café. Once you have worked up an appetite, you can choose from a number of restaurants, from the more modern Earth café or Pan e Souvlaki, to the traditional home cooked food served in the family run tavernas.
As well as enjoying the beautiful beaches like Kaminaki beach, you can get around the island easily if you hire a car. You can also explore the beautiful northeast coast by boat. Travelling between Nissaki and Kassiopi, there are small beaches and bays that are only accessible by boat. You will pass larger bays with waterside tavernas and of course see the wonderful village of Kassiopi, with its harbour, tavernas and shops.
